Cinema Studies ProgramHonours ProgramThis option features a thesis and is therefore especially suited to students who may wish to pursue research at the postgraduate level or above. Successful completion of the Honours program with a high overall grade should qualify students for entry into either the Masters by Research program, or, in cases of particularly high achievement, direct entry into the PhD program. Honours students will be expected to prepare a 12,000 word thesis. They will also be required to take 60 credit points at 4th year level including the compulsory unit CST41IAM: Issues and Methods which focuses on research. A supervisor from the academic staff will work closely with each Honours student in the preparation of the Honours thesis. Students may undertake a creative thesis option that involves practical or production work. For unit descriptions, booklists etc. search the Unit Database by typing in the unit code. These descriptions should help you to choose a unit that suits your interests.
