Research Areas
European cinema, particularly Italian and French, both art film and popular genres. Auteurs of interest - Antonioni, Bertolucci, Pasolini, Godard, Robbe-Grillet, Bunuel. Genres - Italian Western, Giallos/thrillers, sexploitation, Genre theory, Film aesthetics and philosophy, Screenplay analysis.
