Frequently asked questions about Powerpoint presentations
How do I view the Powerpoint documents?
On the study guide, at the beginning of each topic, you will see “To view this presentation click here”. Simply click on the hyperlink (blue underlined word) to activate that topic's presentation.
You may have to wait a short while for the presentation to open.
PowerPoint documents are presented in a number of different ‘views'. You can view the PPT file as slides plus notes or as a proper presentation (Slideshow View). Hit ‘View' in the menu bar to select the view that you need.

How do I follow the slides and read the notes at the same time?
When you open a presentation by hyperclicking from the Study Guide you will find your self in the SlideShow view. You might like to take your first run through the PPT in the SlideShow view but you will not access the Notes pages from that view.
To view the “notes page” you can use one of two options: right click (using your mouse) on the slide go to “edit slides” or on the menu bar click on “View” then take the “notes page” option.

How do I open the links in the powerpoint document?
In slide view simply click on the link.
In notes view, right click the link and select open hyperlink.
Why don't the hyperlinks in the Study Guide work?
Perhaps you are not connected to the internet?
Some of the hyperlinks in the Study Guide point to other documents which are provided to you on this CD. However, many of the hyperlinks point to internet sites.
You will only be able to access these when you are connected to the internet.

As a handout: 课堂笔记
- Open ppt 打开
- File, print文件 点击打印
- Under print what, select 'Handouts' 选择课堂材料
- Select number of slides per page-6 slides fit well, however if you want room to write notes beside the slides, select 3.可以选择一页6张或3张幻灯片（如果你要在另一边写笔记）

Through Microsoft Word 通过word文档打印
- Save the ppt from your cd onto your hard drive. 将幻灯片从CD拷贝到硬盘
- Open Powerpoint program 打开Powerpoint 软件
- Open the ppt you wish to print 打开你准备打印的幻灯片
- File, send to, word 选择 文件中的 发送到 文档
- Notes below slides 选择 幻灯片页面和笔记
