Current student; Student ambassador,

“From the very beginning you feel embraced and part of a new family.”

story

I'm studying a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) and my methods are English, History and French. I can’t wait to finish my degree and become a teacher!

Being a Student Ambassador was the best thing that happened to me during my life as a student at La Trobe. New friends, lots of talking (which I like a lot) and I'm getting to know my university better (so many things to explore around campus – you never get bored).

Melbourne Campus is a genuine Australian campus, from the very friendly and smiley people to the incredibly green, natural scenery, which is only 14km from the CBD. Everyone is very friendly and relaxed and from the very beginning you feel embraced and part of a new family. The lecturers are always keen to support and help you!

My advice to future students is don’t listen to what your parents want, don’t follow what your friends are doing and be proud of your choices! And if something doesn’t happen now, tomorrow is a new day! Stay positive and never being disappointed!

“I enjoy being a mentor for younger students, which allows me to get the best out of them.”

story

I decided to apply for the Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) because I enjoy being a mentor for younger students, which allows me to get the best out of them. My core subjects for my course have certainly had a profound effect on my own personal growth.
