“It's so peaceful and the grounds are so beautiful.”

story

La Trobe is a very well rounded university. Academically it's a top university, but it also has plenty to offer in the way of social activities, clubs, sports, exchange and more.

I always knew I wanted to do law. I knew I wanted a career that I could build, and that would give me a stable life and income. I also wanted to do something I was passionate about. There are many changes to the legal system that I think need to be made, so doing a law degree is the first step in making that happen.

I love the law study room. There's plenty of space, and everyone is studying law so usually people overhear your conversations about different things, and if they've done the subject or know the answer, they can help you out. I also enjoy all the email updates on what La Trobe has to offer to add to my course. This includes exchange internships, special electives and summer/winter subjects. It’s great to always be updated and helps me to start planning on when I can fit those things into my degree.

I love sitting out on Simpson Lawn on a sunny day doing my readings. It's so peaceful and the grounds are so beautiful. La Trobe has a very unique atmosphere and its great to just sit either in the Agora, Simpson Lawn or the Eagle Bar to soak it all up.
