Leadership opportunities
Chisholm College leadership teams fall into a number of different groups:
Residential assistants (RA)
Each RA have responsibility for one of the 12 towers in College and each team of RAs is lead by a RA coordinator. The RAs ensure that an acceptable living environment is maintained, as well as providing pastoral care to the residents in their tower. RAs also provide 24 hour duty service to cater for the needs of the College outside office hours.
Academic mentors (AM)
AMs are lead by an academic assistance coordinator and supported by five faculty representatives. Representatives have responsbility for dealing with faculty resources, including one that focuses on Language skills and provides support to students at the Language Centre and Foundation studies.
Study groups are organised according to areas of study. Study groups meet regularly to receive support and advice. The Faculty representatives also organise events such as the faculty dinners and first year get-togethers.
Chisholm Residents Activities Committee (CRAC)
CRAC plans, advertises and manages Chisholm social and cultural curriculum. If you have talents or just have a passion to get involved, be sure to contact with a CRAC member as soon as you join the college.
Information Technology (IT)
For those interested in technology, there are opportunities in College to support the computing requirements of residents. Chisholm has a dedicated team of IT experts who are always on hand to aid with any computer related problems you may have.
General committee (GC)
Chisholm College’s general committee (GC) is an open forum where policy, procedures and other matters relating to the life of College are debated. Elections to GC take place early in the year but meetings are open to all residents.
A team of over 40 residents make up the student leadership group. Together they are committed to making your time in Chisholm as exciting, rewarding and memorable as possible.
