I like Chisholm for its multiculturalism. My life here so far has been extremely relaxed and laid back, although somehow I’ve managed to get through my studies.

Rick Hardy (Physiotherapy)

Chisholm is the place of opportunities, multiculturalism, academic achievements, and of course, where all the fun can be…The huge cultural diversity in Chisholm, where the international boundaries are merged, and the capability to balance between social and academic activities makes Chisholm’s life an amazing experience and a great challenge...

Abdulla AL Azri (Network Engineering)

Living in Chisholm is like staying with a gigantic crazy happy family. It is amazing how Chisholm brought together people of so many races and different backgrounds, yet we live together and are similar in many ways. The people here are just absolutely awesome and there is always something exciting going on!

Moving from the country has been the biggest step in my life and it wasn’t easy at first but on the first night that I moved in I met some fantastic people who my CRAC reps helped me meet during the Orientation week. Now I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else and those people are now my family.

Merinda Quinn (Health Science and Development Studies)

Coming to Chisholm College has been one of the best experiences of my life. Coming from Sweden I was worried about my financial situation. But Chisholm has provided a great lifestyle for the amount rent costs. Now I have decided to take my entire course in Australia and I can’t imagine living anywhere else but Chisholm while I am here.

Johanna Edvinsson (Bachelor of Arts)

I lived in Chisholm College for a semester and can safely say that to stay there was one of the best if not the best thing that happened to me in Australia. If you are going to study at La Trobe as an international student and the question of accommodation is yet to be solved, Chisholm College is definitely the place to go. What’s waiting there is a genuine experience of Australian Uni life brought to you by a bunch of easygoing residents who will welcome you as one of them and make sure you will never feel bored or left out. There will be a lot of VERY fun stuff to do, but if you’re looking for a good place to study, you’ll also find some excellent facilities where you can have a longer look at your textbooks without anyone bothering you and find help with studies if needed.

Evgeny Zelichenko (International Business)

As a CRAC Member I have found that being a student leader at Chisholm College has given me plenty of experience in other fields of work, as well as helped build my social skills and given me an awareness of other cultures through the great international environment we are exposed to.
