Strategic engagement with China
The Centre for China Studies is one of the central components for La Trobe University's overall strategies in engagement with China.
The Centre forges strategic relationships between La Trobe University and leading Chinese universities, research institutions and government departments through strengthening established links with traditional partners and initiating programs with new strategic partners.
The Centre:
- Identifies opportunities for collaboration and builds constructive relationships with key Chinese partners
- Coordinates senior delegations between La Trobe University and partner universities in China
- Assists La Trobe University faculties and divisions to develop collaborations with China
- Assists scholars to indentify and initiate joint research projects with peers in China and encourages the conduct of research in China
