Seminars, conferences and workshops
The seminar series aims to provide a constructive platform for scholars from La Trobe University and beyond to share ideas, knowledge and experience, to encourage interdisciplinary academic dialogue and to assist with development of links between scholars who share common research interests related to China. The Centre for China Studies welcomes all staff and students to attend the events.
Public lectures and seminars
The Centre invites prominent public persons from either Australia or China to share their experiences and learnings from engagement with the other country. Presenters may represent the education and research sector, government, or business. Open to the general public, these public events offer new perspectives and insights into Australia-China relations.
Conferences
The Centre engages both internally with La Trobe University research centres and externally with partner Chinese universities and institutions to develop and facilitate participation in international conferences and forums. While the development of academic links is a key concern, international conferences may also attract participation form politicians and business representatives.
