Aligns with the Centre’s mission of promoting and advancing La Trobe University’s strengths in China-related research across both Colleges, fostering research links with China, and strengthening La Trobe’s research reputation and expertise.
Will deliver high quality research outputs and enhance the University’s capacity to win competitive research funding. Applicants should include a plan for leveraging external funding in the future.

Justify the items required to fund this project. Identify any external or other internal La Trobe funding sources that will also be used to fund the project. This proposal can be used for seed funding towards the submission of an external research grant. Funding may be used for travel, field and research costs, tutorial and/or marking buy-out (subject to written approval by department head), La Trobe-led and hosted gatherings of national and/or international experts/partners or as salary for research assistants.

List prospective industry partners for your project who could benefit from the proposed research project. Industry partners may include business, government agencies, community organisations, etc.

Explain the track record of the each CI in relation to this project. Provide a list of awarded and pending grants, as well as publications over the past five years (2013 to 2018). Send as Word attachment if 500 words are insufficient.
