Alice in Wonderland
Weaknesses:
The
biggest weakness about this book is its illustrations. Alice
has no facial expression, similar to the Disney versions. The pictures are
quite soft. There are no real sharp lines and nothing at all offensive about
them. They are coloured in more neutral tones, meaning they do not capture the
reader’s attention. The Mad Hatter doesn’t even look mad! He looks rather
gentle. The pictures give a sense of calm, quiet and softness, none of these
things relating to the crazy, exciting world of Wonderland!
