Zeus is the father of
Heracles. In Greek mythology Zeus (ZOOSS) was the ruler of the heavens, he
controlled the weather and used thunder and lightening as weapons. In Roman
mythology Zeus was known as Jupiter (JOO-puh-ter). Zeus was married to Hera, who was also known as Juno, though he had many children
to other goddesses and mortal women (Hoena 2003: 5).
