Amphitryon…
Amphitryon was the nephew of the King of Troezen,
Electryon. Amphitryon was married to his cousin Alcmena
fathering a son, Iphicles. While he was
in battle his wife Alcmena was seduced and trick into having an affair with the
God, Zeus. The product of this union was Heracles, which
Amphitryon brought up as his own. Amphitryon died in battle fighting for Thebes
(Flaum 1993: 29).
