The objective of this web page is to educate about the importance of children having prior knowledge and understanding of traditional fairy tales and nursery rhymes when reading modern intertextual childrenŐs literature. This post-modern style of writing is becoming more popular and therefore the importance of having a sound prior knowledge is crucial to fully appreciate and understand what is occurring in the story.
