AWARD
New South Wales
popular choice award
The KOALA Award (Kids Own Australian Literature Award) is the New South Wales popular choice award. The KOALA Council (open to libraries, schools, organizations and individuals) present this award to promote a love of reading among younger readers and to develop in them a critical appreciation of Australian Literature. School students nominate books by Australian authors or about Australia, and then vote on the subsequent shortlists.
