FAMILY AWARD

The Family Award is presented at the Australian Family Therapy Association's annual conference. The aim of this award is to recognize writing for children that presents families coping with their challenges. The stories should give realistic and balanced portrayals of family life, treating members and their decisions with respect, and showing believable difficulties that can be overcome.  Since 1995, a Younger readers/Picture book award may also be given if the judges wish.
