HAZEL EDWARDS b. 1945
Hazel Edwards' Hippopotamus books
are features of just about every kindergarten, primary school and public
library in Australia. With their wonderfully gentle approach to common
childhood fears they present a sensitive, and yet wryly humorous, look at
life.
Hazel has also kindly provided some of her own notes for Antarctica's Frozen Chosen (including issues in writing based on her Antarctic experiences), Fake ID, a list of Themes in her works, and ideas on writing journeys and a writer's life. For a broader list, have a browse through the Australian Authors and Illustrators page from the NSW branch of the Australian School Library Association |
