Undergraduate Subjects
By definition, a course is a degree (such as Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry), and a subject is a unit of study within a course, usually taken over a single semester.
Chemistry Subjects
Chemistry subject codes have a general format of CHEnABC, where CHE1 subjects are first-year subjects, CHE2 are second year subjects and so on. The ABC is a 3-letter code to identify the subject topic.
Subjects are organised so that a student may major solely in chemistry, jointly in chemistry and another discipline from either the Departments or Schools within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering. For example, subjects such as mathematics, physics, biochemistry, botany, economics, genetics, microbiology or philosophy.
For more information on each chemistry subject, select one of the following.
The number in parentheses indicates the semester in which the course is delivered.
