Professional and community connections
Universities have a responsibility to encourage positive learning, and the Department of Chemistry has a long history of community engagement, particularly with chemistry students and teachers in secondary schools. The Department has pioneered many community based programs that have become successful throughout the University and Victoria, including the Outreach and In2Science programs.
We also encourage prospective employers to consider the cadetship program, as a way of supporting young scientists and accessing the next generation of highly-skilled graduates.
