Considering Postgraduate Study in Chemistry?
The Department of Chemistry offers a number of postgraduate degrees, including both research and coursework degrees.
If you are considering postgraduate study, it is important to make contact with academics in research groups that most closely represent your area of interest, since acceptance into a postgraduate program depends on having an available supervisor and agreed research topic. The Department has excellent facilties for research, including state-of-the-art instrumentation and computing facilities. We currently have about 30 honours, masters and postgraduate research students in the Department. There are 9 permanent academic staff as well as several additional research-only staff, all supported by technical and administrative personnel.
The Honours and Masters Research Projects provides a sample of the type and range of research being carried out within the Department, and is indicative of the range of Masters and PhD projects available.
