Max O'Connor Lecture

The Max O'Connor Lecture in the Department of Chemistry


A Research Lecture Award is granted annually to commemorate the contribution of Dr Max O'Connor to the early development of research in the field of coordination chemistry at La Trobe University. In choosing a recipient to present the award lecture, consideration is given to distinguished scientists who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • The recipient had an association in some way with Dr Max O'Connor
  • The recipient has (or had) an international reputation in Inorganic Chemistry
  • The recipient has (or had) a significant association with the Department of Chemistry at La Trobe University.
  • The recipient is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry at La Trobe University.
