Chemistry Honours Entry Requirements
The requirements for entry are:
- An average grade of at least 65% in 60 points of third-year level chemistry
- An average grade of at least 60% across all third year subjects (120 credit points total)
- All requirements completed for a pass degree
- Those applying for entry to Chemistry Honours from tertiary institutions other than La Trobe University must have third year results equivalent to those required of La Trobe University students.
Please note the following:
- Acceptance into a research project requires having an available supervisor and agreed research topic.
- If required, preference will be given to students with higher academic performance.
As soon as examination results are available, all students who qualify for entry to Honours in Chemistry will be notified by letter and provided with further information about re-enrolment. Any student who does not receive a letter but believes they are eligible should contact the Honours Coordinator (Dr Anne Richards).
Prospective honours students should need to complete a 2012 Project Application Form and submit it to the Honours Coordinator (Dr Anne Richards) before the closing date stipulated on the form. Late applications may be accepted at the discretion of the Honours Coordinator.
