Welcome to the Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry has a proud history of excellent research and teaching, being established as a foundation Department of the University. The Department is a member of the School of Molecular Sciences and Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Chemistry is taught at all year levels in undergraduate Bachelors degrees through to Honours. The Department offers postgraduate degrees by research at Masters and PhD level as well as a Masters of Chemical Science coursework degree.
Excellent facilities are available for research across a wide range of chemistry. All academic staff offer projects for qualified research applicants. The Honours projects are indicative of the particular research interests of each staff member. There are more than 25 postgraduate students in the Department.
