About the Cochrane Consumers and Communication Review Group
The Cochrane Consumers and Communication Review Group is part of the Cochrane Collaboration, an international, non-profit organisation that aims to help people make well-informed decisions about health care. This is primarily done by the preparation, publication and promotion of systematic reviews of the effects of healthcare interventions. Our reviews are published online on The Cochrane Library.
Our Review Group is based at La Trobe University in Melbourne (where our Coordinating and Managing Editors and our Trials Search Coordinator work). We have an international editorial team and we work with review authors all over the world to support them in preparing and publishing Cochrane systematic reviews.
We work with other Cochrane Collaboration entities like the Australasian Cochrane Centre (based at Monash University, Melbourne) and other Cochrane Review Groups. All Review Groups are distinguished by their unique scope.
Our scope
The Consumers and Communication Review Group coordinates the production of systematic reviews of interventions which affect consumers' interactions with healthcare professionals, services and researchers.
Our reviews fall into six categories:
- Interventions directed to the consumer
- Interventions from the consumer
- Interventions for communication exchange between providers and consumers
- Interventions for communication between consumers
- Interventions for communication to the healthcare provider from another source
- Service delivery interventions
See our Topic List (PDF 37KB) for more information about our Review Group's scope.
We thank our funding bodies for their support:
