About the Chaplaincy Centre

This is a service offered by a team from some of the churches of Albury-Wodonga to support students and staff. The Chaplaincy Coordinator works full time but shares her time between La Trobe and Charles Sturt universities. Volunteers who have been selected and trained staff the office when she is not on campus. Chaplaincy provides opportunities for peace, for prayer and Bible study and for reflection on issues of faith and life. It also provides practical support for students in need.

The chaplains will refer students and staff to clergy or appropriate leaders of other religious traditions on request.

Groups and activities

The Albury-Wodonga Chaplaincy offers hospitality on a drop-in basis, or by appointment, with someone to listen to your concerns over hot drinks and biscuits. Student poverty is a recognized difficulty and we also offer practical help if we are able. This currently takes the form of non-perishable foods and other items (eg toiletries) available from the "goods trolley" located in the Student Services Waiting Room (room 4214 in the Admin Building) during normal office hours and Bakers' Delight day-old bread on Thursdays.
