Murrumbidgee River Catchment Project
Australia is seeing a growing shortage of civil engineers, particularly in rural NSW.
The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) and The Pratt Foundation, in partnership with La Trobe, offer financial support to organisations in need of skilled civil engineers and to students from rural NSW who wish to work in this area.
Industry partners and prospective students in communities around the Murrumbidgee Basin are invited to apply for grants to subsidise the cost of an undergraduate degree in civil engineering at La Trobe's Bendigo campus.
As part of the program, students work in their own communities with their industry partner during university vacations. They are then contracted to continue working for two years following the successful completion of their studies.
