Introduction
North-Vic Construction commenced operations in 1989 as a bridge construction company with contracts extending throughout Victoria. Our Core business consists of predetermined municipal and government tenders, with sub-contracted road-works and ancillary works. The company now provides a complete package including design and construct, low maintenance structures, prefabricated construction and construction in environmentally sensitive areas. We operate a large skilled work force from our manufacturing plant located in Kilmore Victoria.
North-Vic Constructions has extensive experience in constructing bridges, roads and other civil works such as electronic signage and telecommunications infrastructure. North-Vic Constructions quality assurance system is endorsed by the (CCF) Civil Contractors Federation, and our company is Vic-Roads qualified and accredited for bridge construction (medium, B2), road construction (small, R1) and structure and pavement design (DCI).

Aims
The North-Vic Construction Scholarship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional civil engineering staff. It is available to students undertaking the Bachelor of Civil Engineering course, or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.
Benefits
- financial support in the form of a $5,000 scholarship per year for the duration of the course,
- fully-paid vacation work experience during each year of the course ($6000 per year, approximate),

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria
- be a full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University,
- have a strong academic background, and
- not hold any other Civil Engineering scholarship.
The work experience placements and graduate positions would favour the suitability for working from our Kilmore (Vic) head office, and scholarship holders will need to exercise flexibility in moving to this location.
The Scholarship is tenable for the normal length of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance and an annual interview. The successful applicant is committed to North-Vic Constructions Pty Ltd for a period equivalent to the scholarship support period from completion of their full time studies up to a period of two years.

Applicants are required to demonstrate why they are interested in the Scholarship, detail their career goals and submit a resume and an academic transcript with their application. The selection of the successful applicants will be determined through an application and interview process by a panel of North-Vic Constructions Pty Ltd and La Trobe University staff and based on the above criteria.
