VicRoads/La Trobe University Civil Engineering Internship Program

Aims

The VicRoads/La Trobe University Civil Engineering Internship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional civil engineering staff. It is available to students undertaking the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) course or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.

Benefits

  • fully-paid work experience during the course (up to 12 weeks per year),
  • financial support in the form of a $500 La Trobe University bookshop account per semester for the remainder of the course,
  • access to career mentoring advice from VicRoads professional Civil Engineers.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria

  • have completed secondary education in Northern Victoria,
  • be a full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University,
  • have a strong academic background.

The Internship is tenable for the normal length of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance and an annual interview.

Applicants are required to demonstrate why they are interested in the Scholarship and submit a resume and an academic transcript with their application. The selection of the successful applicant will be determined through an application and interview process by a panel of VicRoads and La Trobe University staff and based on the above criteria.
