Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water Civil Engineering Scholarship

Aims

The Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water /La Trobe University Civil Engineering Scholarship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional civil engineering staff. It is available to students undertaking the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) course, or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.

Benefits

  • financial support in the form of a $5,000 scholarship per year for the duration of the course,
  • fully-paid vacation work experience during each year of the course ($5000 per year, approximate),
  • access to career mentoring advice from Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water Engineers.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria

  • be a commencing full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University,
  • have a strong academic background, and
  • not hold any other Civil Engineering scholarship.

The Scholarship is tenable for the normal length of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance and an annual interview. The successful applicant is committed to Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water for a period of two years from completion of full-time studies.

Applicants are required to demonstrate why they are interested in the Scholarship and submit a resume and an academic transcript with their application. The selection of the successful applicant will be determined through an application and interview process by a panel of Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water and La Trobe University staff and based on the above criteria.
