Introduction

CPG Australia Pty Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of the Downer EDI Group of Companies, providing integrated engineering, planning, landscape architecture, urban design, survey, sustainability & environment project management, and agribusiness services. We operate from offices in Melbourne, Shepparton, Albury, Geelong and Bendigo and link to national and international offices through our parent company. Aims

The CPG Australia Pty Ltd/La Trobe University Civil Engineering Scholarship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional civil engineering staff. It is available to students undertaking the Bachelor of Civil Engineering course, or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.

Benefits

  • financial support in the form of a $5,000 scholarship per year for the duration of the course,
  • fully-paid vacation work experience during each year of the course ($6000 per year, approximate),
  • access to career mentoring advice from CPG Australia Pty Ltd Engineers.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria

  • be a full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University,
  • have a strong academic background, and
  • not hold any other Civil Engineering scholarship.

The work experience placements and graduate positions may be located in Albury, Bendigo, Shepparton and Geelong, and scholarship holders will need to exercise flexibility in moving to these locations.

The Scholarship is tenable for the normal length of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance and an annual interview. The successful applicant is committed to CPG Australia Pty Ltd for a period equivalent to the scholarship support period from completion of their full time studies.

Applicants are required to demonstrate why they are interested in the Scholarship, detail their career goals and submit a resume and an academic transcript with their application. The selection of the successful applicants will be determined through an application and interview process by a panel of CPG Australia Pty Ltd and La Trobe University staff and based on the above criteria.
