Coliban Water Civil Engineering Scholarship

Aims
The Scholarship has been established by Coliban Water, Bendigo, to support students from regional Victoria and southern New South Wales undertaking the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) course, or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University. The scholarships are valued at $3,000 per annum, tenable for the normal length of the course (4 years) and, subject to satisfactory academic performance, are payable following confirmation of enrolment in each year of the course. Where practicable, successful candidates will be expected to undertake a portion of the Industry Integrated Learning component of the course at Coliban Water, Bendigo, usually at the end of third year. This component is valued at $6000 (approximately).
Eligibility
Two awards will be made annually. Preference for one will be given to an applicant from the City of Greater Bendigo region who has successfully completed the Victorian Certificate of Education, or equivalent, within the last 12 months. Preference for the other will be given to an applicant from elsewhere within the central and northern Victoria and southern New South Wales region who has successfully completed the Victorian Certificate of Education, or equivalent, within the last 12 months.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be attempting their first tertiary education qualification and not be in receipt of any other Civil Engineering scholarship. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the capacity to undertake studies at the University.

Please attach a personal statement in support of this application, in relation to economic circumstances, academic ability and other relevant additional information. Attach no more than one sheet of A4 paper for your personal submission. You may also wish to attach a supporting statement from a relevant professional such as a school principal, social worker or minister of religion (no more than one sheet of A4 paper for supporting statement). The successful applicant will be determined through an application and interview process.
