Pop-up window blocker

You MUST disable your pop up window blocker to use the cbt courses. If you only allow it to temporarily allow pop-ups, you may find the courses stop opening. Go to Tools -> point to Pop-up Blocker.

System checker

Many of the courses are Java-based, and therefore require a Java Runtime Environment. We recommend the latest version (1.5), available for download from www.java.com.

There is a 'system checker' you can use to ensure your PC is loaded with the correct software to run the courses: http://sysreq.netglearning.com/

Downloading

If you download courses and work offline, ensure that you log back into the CBT system to upload your data. The upload is automatic.

NB: It is recommended that you use broadband connection when downloading and uploading the courses, as a number of factors could distrupt this process while using dial-up connection.

Reliability can be influenced by:

the quality of the telephone line to and inside your house
the quality of your modem
disconnection if the 'call waiting' facility is not disabled
