Student Career Mentoring Program

Would you like to make a difference?

Would you like to share your experiences?

The Student Career Mentoring Program provides an opportunity for individuals with at least two years’ experience in the workforce to develop their own coaching, leadership and communication skills by developing a relationship with a student who wants to learn more about a career of interest to them.  It also enables students to meet a current practitioner who will share their knowledge and experience, to explore the realities of the world of work or simply to have someone whom they can use as a sounding board.

As a mentor, you will attend a short induction workshop in April 2009, meet with your mentee a minimum of five times between April and October and then attend a celebration event at the end of the program.

The Student Career Mentoring Program is available at all our campuses (Albury/Wodonga, Bendigo, Bundoora, Mildura and Shepparton).

Applications for enrolment as a mentor in the 2009 program are open from October 2008, and matching with a student will take place in late March, 2009.
