Giving a talk to students

Speaking to a group of students is an excellent way of raising your organisation’s profile on campus.

You may wish to:

  • give a presentation about your organisation, the roles within it that are open to students or graduates, and the application process
  • host a social gathering in which you can provide information and meet our students
  • give a talk on a topic such as networking, résumés or interviews
  • share your own career path and pass on advice to students as part of a panel targeted at students in a particular discipline area
  • provide students with interview practice or conduct a mock assessment centre activity

Catering costs apply if hosting a social gathering. No other costs are involved.

The best time for an information session is between 12noon and 2pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. We will publicise your session and make available to students any promotional material that you send us. The longer lead-time you give us, the more effectively we can promote the session. Note, we cannot guarantee student numbers.

All lecture theatres have PowerPoint facilities, overhead projectors and whiteboards.
