Stay involved after you graduate
We are proud of our graduates and want to continue our relationship with you. You may still want some help with your career or you may want to help current students either as an individual or as an employer. Alumni may access services offered by the Career Development Centre for twelve months after completion of studies.
Services you can use
- Careers counselling
30 minute consultations with a careers consultant is available for careers counselling, interview practice and resume checking services. - Resume/ cover letter checking
To have your resume checked you must have completed the Resume Express module or attended a resume writing workshop. Appointments can be made through CareerHub or by contacting our office on 03 9479 2459. - Free seminars
The Career Development Centre host a range of free seminars throughout the year and graduates are more than welcome to attend. Topics covered in these seminars include; resume writing, interview techniques, getting prepared for graduate recruitment and more. To find out the session dates and times, go to the ‘events’ section in CareerHub. - CareerHub Jobs Database
Alumni can continue to use the CareerHub database even after they graduate. To access the database as a graduate you will need to send an email with your full name and student number to careers@latrobe.edu.au.
How to stay involved
- Student Career Mentoring Program
The program provides an opportunity for individuals with at least two years’ experience in the workforce to develop their own coaching, leadership and communication skills by developing a relationship with a student who wants to learn more about a career of interest to them. It also enables current students and recent graduates to meet a current practitioner who will share their knowledge and experience, to explore the realities of the world of work or simply to have someone whom they can use as a sounding board. - Employing La Trobe students and graduates
