The Tourism and Hospitality International Study Tour focuses on culture, food, tourism and hospitality offerings using Vietnam as an example. This study tour offers an exciting opportunity to experience first-hand Vietnamese culture and the challenges of a developing country.

The subject embraces the different sights that Vietnam has from visiting the origins of food production and the creation of the tourism and hospitality industry. There is a strong focus on Western product offerings and tourist expectations, effects of government policy, impacts on the local labour force and the legacy of war. Students will not only visit five main cities, world heritage listed locations and hotel tours but also help create their own meals through cooking classes and training restaurants among others.

The Tourism and Hospitality International Study Tour offers students a different perspective of the tourism and hospitality industry that is common in western society and more global view of how this sector contributes to local economies through employment opportunities and increasing the standard of living for local communities.
