Data mining; pattern recognition
![]()
One of the key steps in data mining is pattern recognition, the discovery and characterisation of patterns The Faculty is home to award-winning researchers who specialise in the area of Data mining: pattern recognition. Sub-areas within this specialisation include: Rule induction for Forecasting Method Selection; Pattern Discovery in Motion Time Series via Structure- based Spectral Clustering; Characteristic-based Descriptors for Motion Sequence Recognition; Tensor Space Learning for Analysing Activity Patterns from Video Sequences, and; Characteristic-based Clustering for Time Series Data.
