Harry Clarke, BA (Hons 1) Macq, M.Ec ANU, PhD ANUAfter gaining his PhD in international macroeconomics from the Australian National University in 1979, Harry Clarke worked for eight years as a development economist at the Asian Institute of Technology. In 1987 he came to La Trobe University where he has taught since. Harry was appointed Reader in Economics in 1991 and Professor of Economics in 2005. Harry now works as an applied microeconomist and consultant. His particular interests are in business economics, the strategic analysis of public and private sector management and public policy. He has published over 90 papers and two books in these areas. His major current interests are in teaching courses on strategy analysis and game theory to business managers as well as resource and environmental economic problems. His recent research has been concerned with network economics, institutional aspects of managing biodiversity regulation and the economic analysis of health and substance abuse issues.
