Ishaq Bhatti, BSC BZU, MSC Alberta, PhD Monash

Ishaq Bhatti is an associate professor and La Trobe University. He is a graduate of BZ University and the University of Alberta with PhD from Monash. Prior to joining La Trobe he held a HEC’s Professorship in Pakistan and Associate Professorships at Sultan Qaboos University and Kuwait University. He has taught at Monash, Griffith, King Saud and Alberta universities, and has visited the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, Rider, Magberg, Hitotsubahi, Firdowsi, Tarbiat Madarres, UAE University and the University of Auckland. He is the author of more than sixty five articles, three books and member of the editorial board of various journals. His major areas of research, scholarship and teaching are in Islamic finance and Quantitative finance, econometrics and the measurement of economics of standard. He is the winner of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos (HMSQ) best researcher Award 2004, a HMSQ large Grant, Government of Pakistan Grant in Finance training. He has been co-awarded a consultancy project on ESL Financial modeling from the Victorian Dept. of Education and Australian Research Council Grant 2008-2010.
