Issue: October 2006NewsChina Student AwardLa Trobe PhD student in Archaeology, Sun Zhouyong, is one of three international students in Victoria to have won the latest US $5,000 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad. The awards, from the Education Department of China, were made to students in 23 countries, for outstanding contributions to their discipline based on publications and academic merit. Mr Sun received his award at ceremony held in August at the General Consulate of Melbourne.
