New Deputy Vice-Chancellor
Professor Rosenberg.
Professor John Rosenberg – a distinguished academic recognised for innovation in teaching and research as well as his contribution to industry, government and community projects – has taken up the post of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Future Students).
Previously Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Deakin University and Dean of Information Technology at Monash, Professor Rosenberg has held senior posts at the universities of Sydney and Newcastle. He was also a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Computational Science at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
Welcoming him to La Trobe, Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Johnson said Professor Rosenberg’s proficiency and expertise in higher education and research will be of great benefit to the University.
‘He also brings extensive experience working with variety of peak bodies and committees,’ said Professor Johnson.
Professor Rosenberg said he was thrilled to join La Trobe at a time when the University was undergoing rapid and impressive change under the leadership of Paul Johnson.
