Business Systems and Knowledge Modelling Lab

The goal of this project with Eastern Energy Ltd., Melbourne (a subsidiary of Texas Utilities, USA) was to facilitate development of computer systems utilizing leading edge methodologies to support competitive strategies in the areas of forecasting, pricing, and costing within the Pricing and Forecasting Division of Texas Utilities. The leading edge technologies include object-oriented technology, data warehouse technology, and intelligent technologies like neural networks (for data mining) and knowledge based systems.

Practical Outcome: Neural network based load prediction software has been developed for the client. Detailed data models including preliminary design done, research publication, graduate employment, and more collaborative projects.
