Business Systems and Knowledge Modelling Lab

The La Trobe Accounts Receivable department is investigating ways to streamline their business processes. One of the projects they are working on is to assist the finance officers in different Schools and Departments of the University to directly enter accounts receivable related information into a Accountable database management system. Also the cashier needs to monitor which Schools have banked weekly and which haven’t. The second year accounting data base students taught and supervised by me have undertaken to design and develop the Accountable documents database system for the Finance Division of La Trobe University.

Practical Outcome: Students finished the project in semester 1 2003. Performance Certificates have been issued by the Finance division to 7 students. Commercial agreements for delivery of the database management system are being finalized.
