EventsConferencesKnowledge Based Intelligence Information and Engineering Systems (KES 2005)
The annual KES conference is now a firmly established event in the intelligent systems community's calendar. KES conferences regularly attract over 400 delegates from all parts of the world. The ninth conference in the series will be held in at the Hilton on the Park Hotel, Melbourne, Australia, one of the country's most lively and vibrant cities. We are pleased to invite papers on the theory and applications of Intelligent Systems and related areas within computing, information technology and advanced internet applications.
The 2005 International Conference on Active Media Technology In the great digital era, we are witnessing many rapid scientific and technological developments in human-centered, seamless computing environments, interfaces, devices, and systems with applications ranging from business and communication to entertainment and learning. These developments are collectively best characterized as Active Media Technology (AMT), a new area of information technology and computer science that emphasizes the proactive, seamless roles of interfaces and systems as well as new media in all aspects of digital life. The first international conference on Active Media Technology (AMT01) was held in Hong Kong in 2001, and the second International Conference on Active Media Technology (AMT03) was held in Chongqing of China in May 29-31 of 2004. Following the success of AMT01 and AMT03, the third International Conference on Active Media Technology (AMT05) will be held in Kagawa, Japan in 2005. WorkshopsInternational Workshop on On Experience ManagementExperience management is still a very new concept in the information systems field, although knowledge management has become well-established in Intelligent Information Systems. Knowledge Management is the collection of processes that govern the creation, storing, reuse, maintenance, dissemination, and utilization of knowledge. Experience is the life blood for individuals and organizations. As its sub-discipline, Experience Management (EM) deals with collection of processes that govern creation, storage, reuse, maintenance, dissemination, evaluation and utilization of experience knowledge in a particular situation or problem solving context. IWEM-05 is the first international workshop on experience management in conjunction with the main KES2005 conference (www.latrobe.edu.au/kes). This workshop is organized by KES International (www.kesinternational.org), La Trobe University, University of Wollongong and Bond University. Content Approved by: Director of BSKM Lab
