Philotheca verrucosa ( formerly known as Eriostemon verruscosa ) also called Fairy Wax Flower or Bendigo Wax was very prolific in the Bendigo region many years ago. The flowers when fresh, are pale pink and often lose their colouring with age. The major pollinating agent is not known but hoverflies and butterflies are occasionally seen visiting the flowers.
