Arthropodium strictum is a lily commonly known as the Chocolate Lily.
Chocolate lilies are a tussocky herb that flower from October to December. The mauve flowers are chocolate (vanilla) scented and appear on a branched stem up to 1 m in length. This species has recently been put in a new family, Anthericaceae.
Lily pollen is often beautifully sculptured
