| Pollen is produced by all plants that bear seeds. In flowering plants (Angiosperms) pollen is produced in pollen sacs within the flower. When mature, it may travel on the wind or be carried by other agents (insects, birds, mammals) to the central part of another flower where it will fertilise the ovules resulting in the formation of seeds. |
