    How to Make An Appointment

Requests for family counselling can be made directly by any family member or by a professional involved with a family by calling the intake worker on 9385 5100, any day between 10.00am and 3.00pm. If another agency is currently involved we prefer that the worker be available to discuss the referral. You will be asked to give a brief description of your situation to ensure that the referral meets our general criteria and that there are no urgent issues of safety. This information is then passed on to the Sexual Abuse Team to determine whether we are in a position to take the referral, what team resources may be involved, how best to proceed, and whether another service may be more appropriate. An appointment with a SAT therapist would then be organised or redirected to a more appropriate service. Counselling services are free and provided in office hours only (9:00 to 5:00).
