Training Services
The Bouverie Centre has a tradition of providing
high quality training to mental health services. Over the past five years, Bouverie
has developed the FaST method of training which makes systemic family ideas relevant
to all workers in mental health. For details click on FaST. There is currently six
methods Bouverie uses to deliver training, they are:
1. La Trobe University accredited courses from the
Graduate Diploma in Family Sensitive Practice and Family Therapy to Doctorates in
Family Therapy. (See Academic
Services for details and costs).
2. Continuing Education courses for professionals
in a range of topics relating to family sensitive work and family therapy. Continuing
Education courses that have a specific mental health focus and that build on the
more basic Get Together FaST program are called FaST Extension courses. See the Continuing Education
calendar for details including an application
form and costs.
3. Workshops or brief presentations in any topics
relating to family sensitive practice or family therapy where Bouverie staff have
relevant experience. All of the workshops in the Continuing Education program can
be adapted to suit local organisations and can be delivered on site. See Onsite Training Services for more information on costs.
4. Get Together FaST initiatives in which clinicians and managers get together with
family members and clients to learn from each other and to work together to develop
more family sensitive services. See Get Together FaST for details. The FaST team
