The ABI team has been successful in obtaining research funding (The Anita Morawetz Scholarship, University of Melbourne) to evaluate the use of multiple family group work with families coping with the impact of an ABI. January 1999 saw the introduction of a pilot program "Journeys" involving multiple family group work with six families and their children: The group met weekly over a period of six months. The group will generate both quantitative and qualitative data on issues relating to family adjustment to ABI. The group work was completed in September 1999, with evaluation of the project expected to be completed by mid 2000. Results will be posted in What's New in ABI.
